The sculpture, Sit, formed part of a sculpture installation presented at the 2008 Johannesburg Art Fair. The installation comprised of two monumental sculptures facing each other. The one titled Sit and the other Staan (stand). Both sculptures were masterfully made from bronze, stainless steel and Belfast granite with the standing figure reaching a height of 3.5 m. In the narrative created by the sculpture installation the sitting figure lost his head to the one standing towering above it. Through these mutations the artist communicates the important role of transformation through creativity (Myburg 2017:9-11).
